Updated Dec. 30, 2001

I finally had time to finish the Denver 2001 Show report.  A lightning storm knocked out the modem in my computer with the website and by the time I got that fixed the holiday rush was on and it never quite got finished.  I also added a few listings to the Rare  Minerals Page and tried to update the sold or reserved status of the specimens.

Updated July 2, 2001

I have posted a show report from the heartland.  Bloomington, Indiana Show 2001 "The Biggest Little Show" around.

Update Sept. 29, 2000

I added some final thought from the Denver show including what was new to look for in the future at Tucson or Denver.  I posted some more pictures of specimens described into the earlier show reports including the calcite that looks like quartz from China.  I also want to plug a great search feature for mineral specimens.   Have you ever wanted to find a special mineral specimen from a specific location like bornite from Butte, Mt?  You try the common search engines and can't get to any actual specimens for sale.  Well Steve at www.crocoite.com has put together a search called Mineralfind.  You input the mineral or location info you want and it finds only actual dealer WebPages with specimens for sale of what you searched for.  Go ahead and give it a try next time there is a mineral you are looking for.  I'm still working on getting out orders and special request items up.   We will leave the specimens up for at least another couple of weeks before closing The Show for Denver 2000.

Update Sept 26, 2000

We have added new minerals to the site.  Be sure to check out the lead minerals page ( I know stannite isn't a lead mineral but it was so neat I wanted to post it anyway) loaded with pyromorphite from several classic locations.  There is   a sixth page of Fluorite and associated minerals from Hardin Co., IL and a page of Large Illinois Fluorite District minerals all of which are at least 10 cm (4 inches) in one dimension.  Kevin has finished several pages filled with new minerals he picked up while at Denver.  We got these transferred over to The Show but lost the links between the TN pics and large pics again.  We are just going to have you go to his site at www.kcminerals.com where you can see these and the links will work.  I'm still hoping to get some of the minerals I got posted soon.  You can check back for updates or e-mail me and I will notify you of updates.

Updated September 20, 2000

After a few days rest to recover from the all night drive after the show I have added the third part of the show report.  We plan on getting new pictures of material from the show up this weekend and will extend the time to see these through the 30th of September.

Hi, and welcome to emineralshow!   Your alternative source for the latest in information and offerings about the Denver Mineral and Fossil Show 2000.    The show is sponsored by Our Gangue Minerals, Kevin Conroy Minerals, and The Crystal Corner.   We will be offering show reports and minerals for sale before, during, and after The Denver Show from Sept 10th to 24th, 2000.    Together we have over 90 years experience collecting minerals and 50 years selling minerals.

We are planning on several special offerings of minerals during the show starting with the largest offering ever on the internet of fluorite and associated minerals (including alstonite and benstonite) from the Cave-In-Rock District, Illinois.    A fine selection of specimens from the United Kingdom will be offered.    A Calcite / Barite page and Secondary Lead Minerals Page is likely to appear as well.   We will be offering new finds from the show for sale also.    If you have something special you are looking for let us know and we will keep our eyes out for that special piece.    To email us special requests, the sooner the better as it gives us more time to look, click here rgangue@yahoo.com  .   Our years of experience and expertise allow us to cover a lot of ground (there are hundreds of dealers at the shows) and find the best buys available.    Show reporter Keith Hayes has noted when you see Stan doing some serious buying there is a bargain to be had.
